The Key to Transforming Pain

I know how hard it is for you to endure pain — regardless of whether it is a manifestation of the disease or a separate symptom. But if you tune in to withstand it — and you can withstand it if you have the appropriate attitude! — then you can turn any pain to your advantage and to your strength. Remember that you have the power of the Spirit. It seems to you that you are just a weak person in a vulnerable biological body, but this is not so. If you use the power of the Spirit, your body instantly and repeatedly increases its strength and endurance. If you use the power of the Spirit, then you endure any pain with fortitude and patience, and this pain itself recedes before the power of the Spirit, ceases to be perceived by you so acutely and painfully. I will tell you how to create the right mood to go through any pain without letting it break you, and eventually turn it into your strength. Connect with your Divine center by remembering that you are primarily a Spirit. This way you will be able to detach yourself from your physical body, and hence from the pain in this body. You begin to perceive the pain of the physical body as if from the outside. You see with the eyes of the Spirit, you feel with the senses of the Spirit, which means that you have a feeling: "It's not hurting me, it's not happening to me." It really doesn't happen to you as a Spirit — it happens to you as a person, but being connected to the Spirit helps you disconnect from human reactions and human pain. At the same time, you do not stop feeling pain, but it is dulled and perceived, in fact, as if from the outside — you no longer identify yourself with pain. And then, when you perceive pain distantly, you can safely step towards it and go to the very depths of this pain. This is a special state — when you are both outside and inside at the same time. "But how can you split up like that?" You don't understand it from the point of view of human perception. But you certainly understand it as a Spirit. Even if it's hard to explain in words… But you have such a wonderful tool as practice. Practice! Look for the right state. It cannot be explained, but it can be felt — felt not physically, not with the help of your physical senses. This is not a physical sensation, it is a subtle mood of the Spirit. And your spirit knows how to bring you to this mood. I can only tell you that, having found the right mood, you will not confuse it with anything else. This is the mood when you are both a Spirit and a person at the same time, clearly separating your feelings as a Spirit and as a person and at the same time staying in the inseparable unity of these two hypostases…

Difficult? This is difficult only because it is impossible to find suitable definitions for this condition. But having experienced these states in practice, you will understand how simple and natural it is for you as a Divine being receiving earthly experience in a biological body. It is in this state that the key to the transformation of pain into strength and power. When you experience pain as a person, you transform it as a Spirit.

Affirmations of overcoming pain

These affirmations differ from others in that they are practiced only when it is necessary to get rid of pain or at least ease it. Another difference is that they are not pronounced aloud and not in front of a mirror, like others, but in any convenient place, in a comfortable relaxed position and with eyes closed. First, take a few slow deep breaths and exhalations, imagining that you are exhaling through a sore spot and the pain goes away with the exhalations. Then, very slowly, quietly, to yourself or in a barely audible whisper (according to how you will feel more comfortable), pronounce affirmations. It is very good to say these affirmations in the evening before going to bed. If you fall asleep with these words, you have a chance to wake up completely healthy in the morning.

"This pain came to my aid. I am able to endure it. I have enough fortitude. I need this pain. I'm getting stronger because of her. Right here and now I am hardened by this pain and filled with strength. I am grateful to this pain for the fact that it brings me good. It eliminates the consequences of all my past mistakes. She cleanses me. She's healing me. I thank pain as a medicine — healing, cleansing, transforming, giving strength. This pain is not eternal. She's passing... passing... passing. I am grateful to pain for the gifts she has brought me. I accept these gifts—and gratefully release the pain from myself. I don't need the pain anymore. I no longer put myself at the disposal of pain. I took all the best that the pain brought me. I am a strong-minded person. I can handle everything. I let go of the pain. The pain goes away... thank you.... Thank you... thank you..."
